Sitting in the darkened theatre, eating buttered popcorn, the Chinese potter was surprised when the bouncing balls jumped off the wide screen and impacted upon her red earrings. At first she did not know what to do or say. Gradually she adjusted to this strange twist of fate and walked out of the movies arm in arm with her husband, humming, “Jackson.” History would record that she was well versed in the Jay-Pan Fan syndrome.
