Reflecting On A Reflection/Reality or Facade?

Bob Seger said it so succinctly in the song, “Against The Wind,” “Wished I didn’t know now, what I didn’t know then.”
Looking into the clear water, the reflection was one he did not recognize. Was this a dream, an alternate reality or possibly a reality unfamiliar to his eyes? Traveling down life’s windy road positions many chuck holes, downed trees & limbs and any number of other curious obstacles from which to learn. Some lessons seem clear, while others may be slightly out of focus. No matter how 20/20 we are, can we (do we) really see?
Sometimes he loved those simple, early times, being innocent, being dumb to the world, but honest in his heart. Can we ever get back to that part of our lives? Do we really want to go back? Is going back a mistake? Or is it possible to link then and now and create a new way of being, thinking and living? Somehow, he knows in his heart the answer is yes…….

March Family Meet

Sittin’ around the large wicker table, the squeaky, willow chairs witnessed the March Family as they discussed everything from soup to nuts. In unison, they finally concluded that the entire world was quite nuts and that each of them had to support the others in any manner they could. Each family member also committed to brightening their own corner, setting a positive role model example and helping to change the world, one day at a time.

Observants

Did you know that the Observants were members of a branch of the Franciscan order that followed a strict rule. Wouldn’t it be a miracle if people in high places followed some rules at all?
Or, at least some basic rules about commitment to humanity, honesty and doing the right thing, without regard for how fat the (graft) bank account could become…….
