Black lightening swopped down from the dark sky and consumed the corn field. The singe smelled like tortillas, ordered over uneasy. Memory Lane Time: Back in 1987, this was the jewelry brochure used to sell my jewelry. When you examine these earrings, brooches or bracelet, perhaps one can identify the basic design and embellishment elements still seen here in David’s Voice. Looking back is always a magnificent way to see where one is currently heading. Subtle clues often emerge to help us identify who we are as visual artists. History can enlighten, warn, cajole, fool and inspire. What’s your choice?

Jullian Assange recently stated, “A black box has been applied to my life….” This symbolic image is possibly how the metaphoric, black box top looks. Why is the messenger being set up and martyred? His message clearly exposes the “truth” behind our elected and otherwise appointed officials and their atrocious actions. Transparency should not be feared, unless one is troubled with some reason (guilt?) to fear the truth. Otherwise, the trust in truth, we should have and should be guaranteed is a cruel joke.
