Listening to a recording of MLK’s “Vietnam Speech,” spoken one year before his assassination in Memphis, reminds me of the grim reality that lessons from that war were clearly never learned, say ignored.

Here we are in 2011, with the USA’s longest war ever and still the desperately needed funding support continues to ignore the social needs of the poor, the children, the ‘real people’ of this country.

When will the citizens rise up and demand that their (so-called) elected officials support the ‘real people of America’ over the criminally rich puppet master, string pullers who hide behind their evil black curtain?

Why do we constantly fund death and destruction that only perpetuates vicious hatred? What twisted and perverse human beings would vote for such despicable funding commitments?

Invest in life, not death!

Invest in the future, not white crosses and burial plots!      Stop Killing!

Why not fund the good, the righteous and the future of America – our blessed children, while maintaining support for our teen youth – the middle agers and our senior citizens??

Rolling through the dough, the politicians ended up with red sauce (blood) and meat (flesh) on their hands.

One can only wonder what dreams they dream, what nightmares they experience? Be careful! Don’t look into your soul’s mirror….

Or perhaps, are they so callous that they are devoid of any socially conscious, responsibility towards humanity?

Let’s all fan ‘Living by the Sword!’

Its ultimate reward is so very fruitful…….

We get worldwide violence begetting animosity, death, despair, hatred, chaos and confusion.

Don’t forget the distractions and mis-direction!

In the meantime, the weapon’s money men roll in the dough and corrupt politicians collect graft.     Pretty sweet…toot, toot…

An astute, political cartoonist made this image in ‘homage’ to the politician’s monumental mouth.

Like Oliphant, this cartoonist’s image was ‘spot on’ and ‘said it all!’

Note the very sharp, “Mack the Knife” teeth at the top. Scarlet billows…….

The ‘Yellow Flag’ flew over the cowardly politician’s home.

For once, he was silent and allowed a poignant visual image to express his true self.

Everyone had known this fact from the beginning. Denial finally caught up with him.

Usually he was a monumental ‘mouth,’ now relegated to the strong, silence tells all ‘Yellow Flag’ symbolism.
