If the “Three” were well adhered to life’s slings and arrows and the Ovav could intercede, would the pain be less or simply tolerable. As we each navigate the neck-go-rounds each day, one finds a certain degree of adaption to and tolerance to that which hurts deeply. Glancing out the window onto the newly fallen, wind driven snow drifts, Kick remembered a time, well past, when the Naneki brought brightness and striped attire visions. A very warm, sun inspired day near the still water. Was it all but a dream?
