“LovEClouD” Brooch. Floating over each of us, like the angels that protect, are love clouds. Sometimes we see ’em. Sometimes the love bolt strikes directly within our hearts and “WHAM!” Other times the “WHAM” is more of a gentle “TICKLE,” than a “WHAM” burst. However and whenever it happens, who cares? As long as it happens, right? Beware, Valentine’s Day is hence. What? Is hence like fence without the obstruction?

Do fences really build better neighbors? Was that guy correct?

“Count5” Brooch

by David LaPlantz ·

The “Count5” Brooch in one of its iterations. David often wonders just how many logical options might be visually appealing or not. The best and most satisfying part of making art, no matter what the media, is to discover the various iterations in order to pursue the idea to the best possible ending.

A quick and momentary departure from the “Count5” Series. Sometimes just sitting down and playing yields some freshness and vitality. And then again, sometimes it does not. The point is to know the difference and act upon that energy & creative burst.

A “side-step,” working on the Count Five series or maybe a “singlie.” We’ll have to see where the Count takes David. Where’s the blood? Don’t worry, it will develop…

“Scheme of Life”

As we breath closer to Valentines Day, it is good to think of the lives and loves that have gone before and the reason we are all here on earth. Thanks to all of my ancestors and the loves in my life for their participation in the grand, unbelievable scheme of life.

“Valet Parking?”

by David LaPlantz ·

Don’t draw lines when thinking and experiencing love. Better to play out the “play,” react with the cast and stay for the finale. Was there Valet Parking?
