“The Other Shoe”

by David LaPlantz ·

When the “other shoe” finally dropped, all was as clear as the image that was projected. Funny how life takes awhile for all (reality) to be seen, but (at least) David did see it – at last!

“StirringITUp” Brooch, Horizontal Version

by David LaPlantz ·

Sometimes as the photos are being shot, alternative wearing positions present themselves. It’s always enlightening to see the art through the camera viewfinder window, where all of the life’s other distractions are edited out and the true image is truly seen. Hoorah for the narrowing down of the perspective! This should happen more frequently, so that we might really see the true reality. Our reality window  sheds true light on the best visions before us!

“Riding The Process Waves Brooches” Finished Versions

by David LaPlantz ·

Ridin’ The Process (Crest) in the final finished brooch images display some subtle evolution. These two brooches came together very quickly, from original sketch to completion. The “glide ride” was both satisfying and intoxicating. It also became clear as the images were being photographed that the “StirringItUp” brooch on the right needed to be seen in an alternate horizontal version. David likes them in both versions.

Steppin’ out and stirring it up – that’s what should happen all of the time with love. Stir it up, make the passion sizzle and let the trust and sharing grow huge in size and physical dimension. Let’s go… Rock on…

Ride the glide. Take a slide. Up & down, all around – all creatives move in a manner that defies logic. A glimpse, a snippet of an idea, an image, a shadow, an out of focus movement that seems to lead nowhere, yet reveals itself in the manifestation of art. Riding the glide can turn one’s stomach, knock out the breath and take one so high you never wanna come down to Earth (Like QSKY). Yes, FM, no static at all (Thanks Donald)! Back to my bench and let’s see if the glide and the hype create a day like no other day. Goggles on and seat belt fastened, it might just be a bumpy ride (or not)! Sending a smile to all who read and think…

“Riding the Process Waves Brooches” Process Photo

by David LaPlantz ·

Riding the crest of new ideas, playing with options & possibilities, the waves of excitement, delusion and reality all hit with a vengeance.

As in real life, art can be a a wave riding thrill and a time of meditation as the final solutions may not meet up with their initial hype.
