Dancing into the arms of a love, having one’s ribs slightly compressed and sharing a long awaited kiss could only be described as heavenly. Living the scene over, day after day, brings some sense of fulfillment and joy. Thanks Tallmadge.

Hot Doggies! What a day to be alive! Hot Love/Cold World (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwxJiYepzqQ) and Bob Welch on David’s mind. Some days tunes swirl and float about his head, The music and lyrics keep moving back ‘n forth, suggesting, teasing and maturing the art with each new note.

Post 9-1-1, what have we lost? Plenty, we’ve lost privacy & so much more. Our lives are snooped, our records (not vinyl) are well known to only God knows and prying eyes for statistical or otherwise nasty means. We’ve lost liberties that any intelligent, thinking person would never give up. All in the name of security — security from what? Watch, eyes, see, examine, know and give up…

On the backs (‘n fronts) of envelopes, a bunch carried in David’s back pocket every day lend the place and time for ideas, musings and the next set of images for “Cartoonos Roundos.” May your back pocket “be with you!” and summon the future of your art.

Sitting in Santa Fe’s, Jean Cocteau Cinema a few days ago, David was making some sketches prior to the start of Orpheus. There was electricity in the air, at least around David’s head. This piece was born that afternoon, along with a few others that you’ll see soon. It is a joy to be electrified by the anticipation of being inspired and visually fed. That afternoon proved extremely inspirational, to say the least!
