“SiameseKeys” Brooch

by David LaPlantz ·

The Siamese Keys led to nowhere, had no usefulness and were insignificant in every way. Yet, the faith that they could somehow be useful was never discarded. In moving forward, one must look back to insure the sanity and sanctity of what was once a reality. What?

“3OfAKind” Brooches

by David LaPlantz ·

Like 3 points of a compass managing the pathways we could traverse, our minds question now the correct  direction. Is it only the compass that directs us or the heart that beats inside the compass? Questions, questions…

“Get(2)ThePoint?” Brooch

by David LaPlantz ·

Do Others know us better than ourselves? Maybe. Maybe not. The depth of who and what we are is only known by our own hearts, not by the exterior that others see and perceive. Trusting in thyself, while working with one’s inner confidence still trumps all of the perceptions, rhetoric and second guessing by outsiders.

After thinking this piece was completed, then viewing it as the camera saw it, allowed David to go back and really finish the composition. He believes he now has said what was “in his heart.” Take a close view and spy the real difference and simple improvement. Life is real & simple, when one trusts “the eyes and heart to inform.”

“X’nSpot” Brooch

by David LaPlantz ·

In our lives, that which we seek is often very close, so very, very close. The seeker seeks, the wants are close, close as our perceptions of same, right under our _____ (you fill in the blank). Look, observe and see if that which you seek is not as close as your outgoing breath. Sigh…
